Lancaster ISD Superintendent Dr. Katrise Perera has been invited to join the nationwide launch of New Era Superintendents. New Era Superintendents is an emerging community of superintendents coming together to deliver success to the next generation. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to help students succeed in math, science, and reading.
“I do not take lightly the opportunity to represent Lancaster ISD and educators as a New Era Superintendent,” said Dr. Perera. “Opportunities like this allow like-minded superintendents to gather and think strategically about how our decisions can positively impact the students we serve, no matter their economic background or any other barriers students may face. I am honored to be a New Era Superintendent.”
Dr. Perera is one of 15 superintendents selected to join the inaugural launch of New Era Superintendents. She will meet with the other founding members next month during the Arizona State University and Global Silicon Valley (ASU + GSV) Summit in San Diego, California. New Era Superintendents will lead four workshop sessions during the three-day summit: “Creating and Leading a New Era of Student Success”, “The One Big Question for Leaders”, “Equal Access to Achievement for All”, and “Leadership on the Edge.”
As a member of New Era Superintendents, Dr. Perera joins a group of educators dedicated to academic success for all students, regardless of their background, hardships, or challenges. The group of education leaders is determined to offer students as many opportunities as possible for students to achieve academic success.
Dr. Perera brings more than two decades of education experience to New Era Superintendents and will provide valuable insight as they work to fulfill their mission: student success.
Since joining Lancaster ISD in June 2021, Dr. Perera has been an advocate for equity, inclusion, and access for all students. She continuously leads by example and is dedicated to empowering students and helping them achieve success.
