May 21, 2026, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster--Lancaster ISD is proud to announce the appointment of Walesha Robinson as the new principal of Pleasant Run Elementary School.
Robinson brings more than 20 years of educational leadership experience to her new role and has served Lancaster ISD in multiple leadership capacities throughout her career. Most recently, she served as an Academic Coordinator, where she helped lead districtwide instructional initiatives, supported campus leadership teams, and worked to improve student achievement through strategic coaching and professional development.
Prior to her district leadership role, Robinson served as an Assistant Principal and Master Teacher within Lancaster ISD, gaining extensive experience in instructional supervision, campus operations, teacher development, and student support. Her leadership background includes a strong focus on instructional excellence, strategic planning, human capital management, and building systems that support both students and educators.
Robinson earned her Master of Educational Leadership degree from Prairie View A&M University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Jarvis Christian University. She has also completed extensive leadership and instructional training, including Principal Certification, T-TESS Evaluator training, Texas Reading Academy, and instructional coaching programs.
Lancaster ISD is excited to welcome Robinson into this leadership role and looks forward to the continued success and growth of the students, staff, and families at Pleasant Run Elementary under her leadership.
