Volleyball camp

June 12, 2025, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX --Each summer, Lancaster ISD gives young athletes the chance to grow both on and off the court, and this year’s annual Volleyball Camp was no exception. Designed for students in grades three through six, the camp focused on teaching the fundamentals of volleyball while also promoting teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game.

volleyballThis year’s camp welcomed new leadership with the arrival of Lancaster ISD’s newly appointed volleyball coach, Tiffany Williams, who brings 13 years of experience to the role. Coach Williams believes these camps are important for connecting with younger students and building a strong foundation for the volleyball program. She will officially begin her first season as head coach at Lancaster in the 2025–2026 school year. Although she is new to the district, she already feels like part of the WEBO family.

“It feels like I’ve been here,” Williams shared. “The community and the culture here are very welcoming. Even the girls make me feel like I’m at home. The goal of our camp is to show the younger kids what it means to truly be a volleyball player, to introduce a different culture where they can learn and make mistakes. I’m glad we’re able to connect with our students and make an early impact.”

From bumping and setting to learning how to communicate as a team, campers are building their volleyball and teamwork skills every day.

VolleyballSixth grade camper Eryn shared how the camp is helping her both mentally and physically as she prepares to try out for the Lancaster Middle School volleyball team.

“The volleyball camp is helping me get better at the game,” she said. She also added that her favorite part of camp is spiking the ball.

As the volleyball camp continues to grow each year, it remains a highlight of Lancaster ISD’s summer programs, shaping future athletes and leaders one serve at a time.
