Students committed to Tuskegee

Lancaster High School recently celebrated its Academic Decision Day, an event designed to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of the graduating seniors preparing to embark on their college journey.

With great excitement, 99 students announced their post-high school graduation plans and signed letters of intent to attend a college, university, or military branch. LHS also announced that the Class of 2023 has secured more than 16 million dollars in scholarships.

"We are so proud of our seniors and everything they have achieved here at Lancaster High School," said College and Career Counselor Bevelon White. "I am so proud of our students and have had the opportunity to work worked with them since they with this class since they were in middle school. They hold a special place in my heart. They all have worked hard, and it's an honor to celebrate their successes and achievements."

The LHS counseling team organized the event, which worked tirelessly to ensure the students had all the necessary resources to prepare for life after high school.

"The counseling team has been a great support system for our students, and their hard work and dedication are truly appreciated," said White. "Their efforts have made a significant impact on the success of our students."

Students were encouraged to wear their college T-shirts and share their plans with their peers during the event. The excitement and energy in the room were contagious, and it was evident that the students were excited about their future.

The Lancaster High School Academic Decision Day was an incredible success and a joyous occasion to celebrate the graduating seniors of 2023. The school is incredibly proud of its students and their achievements, and we thank the LHS counseling team for their hard work and dedication to student success.
