August 14, 2026, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX -- Lancaster Independent School District is celebrating significant academic progress following the release of the Texas Education Agency’s A–F Accountability System ratings. The district improved its overall rating from a 75 (C) to an 80 (B), reflecting the hard work and dedication of students, staff, families, and the Lancaster ISD community.
The district’s rating reflects the performance of nine campuses and highlights meaningful gains across the district, including particularly strong progress at Lancaster High School.
Lancaster High School saw double-digit growth in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), increasing from 83% to 93%, reflecting significant progress in preparing students for success beyond graduation. This commitment to college and career readiness is further demonstrated by 90 Lancaster High School students earning an associate degree before graduating high school. The campus also achieved a 100% graduation rate for the fifth consecutive year, demonstrating a continued commitment to ensuring students graduate prepared for their next step. With the implementation of the $376 million 2026 Bond, Lancaster ISD will build on this momentum by expanding programs and creating even greater opportunities for students, including through a state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education facility designed to prepare students for the workforce and postsecondary success.
In addition, Lancaster High School’s STAAR End-of-Course performance rose from a 78 (C) to a 91 (A). The campus also increased dual-credit enrollment and TSI performance, further strengthening opportunities for students to earn college credit and demonstrate college readiness while in high school.

This achievement reflects our commitment to our More Than a Diploma promise, ensuring that students leave Lancaster ISD not only with a diploma, but with the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and credentials they need to succeed in their next step. While we celebrate these gains, we remain focused on continuous improvement and ensuring every Lancaster ISD student can succeed.”
