Class of 2026 Graduates

June 2, 2026, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX -- The graduating Class of 2026 concluded their high school careers with a celebration of academic excellence on Tuesday, June 2, at Curtis Culwell Center. Family and friends gathered to witness the seniors receive their well-earned diplomas as they walked across the graduation stage.

A record number of 582 seniors were met with congratulations from district administrators, school board members, and City of Lancaster officials. In addition to leaving their mark academically, the graduating class has a 100% graduation rate, achieving a high school standard that started in 2022, and earned more than $38 million in scholarships and grants.

Valedictorian Christiana Awolumate delivered a heartfelt speech where she encouraged her classmates to persevere through life's challenges, reminding them that adversity builds endurance, character, and hope.

“I know I am not the only senior here today who has faced life-altering challenges, but despite everything, here we are — only moments away from receiving the rewards of everything we have worked for over the past four years,” said Awolumate. “I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us all. May we continue to persevere through every challenge life brings our way and serve as living proof that hard work truly pays off.”

Salutatorian Tharie Huynh reflected on the journey that brought the Class of 2026 to graduation, encouraging her classmates to express gratitude to those who supported them along the way.

“Now that we’re about to wrap up this chapter of our life, I want to remind everyone to occasionally say thank you to those that have helped us here as well as thanking ourselves for putting in the hard work and pushing forward to another day,” said Huynh.

The commencement ceremony concluded with tossed caps, cheers, and the LHS alma mater.

The Class of 2026 have proven themselves ready to face what the world has to offer.

Congratulations, Seniors! Always remember, once a Tiger, always a Tiger.
