November 7, 2025, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX – Lancaster ISD is announcing a leadership transition within the district’s athletic department.
Coach Leon Paul has resigned from his position as assistant athletic director and head football coach at Lancaster High School. While he will no longer serve in those roles, Paul will continue working in the district as a valued employee. Lancaster ISD appreciates his service to student-athletes and wishes him continued success as he moves into his next chapter.
As the district begins the process of selecting its next assistant athletic director/head football coach, Lancaster ISD’s focus is on identifying a leader who will maintain the momentum of Tiger Football, honor the program’s legacy and uphold district standards of excellence. This will be a thorough search, and stakeholder input will play an important role.
“Our priority is selecting a leader who will build on the strong foundation of Tiger Football while supporting the long-term success of our student-athletes,” said Kendrick Brown, Athletic Director for Lancaster ISD.
A survey has been launched to gather feedback from student-athletes, parents, staff, alumni, and community members regarding the qualities and characteristics they would like to see in the next assistant athletic director/head coach. The survey will close on Friday, November 14.
