May 15, 2025, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX --Lancaster ISD is proud to announce the following leadership appointments and transitions for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Ta-Tanisha Stevenson, Executive Principal of Belt Line Elementary, has been appointed Director of Classroom Innovation and Culture. In this role, she will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of strategic planning tools and district improvement initiatives. Her work will include supporting professional pathways for staff and coordinating programs such as the New Teacher Mentoring Program, Power Up Ambassador Support, and the Teacher Incentive Allotment.

Ms. Stevenson’s leadership at Belt Line Elementary has been marked by academic excellence, including “B” ratings on the 2021 and 2023 TEA academic accountability reports. Known for her adaptability, efficiency, and commitment to continuous improvement, she brings a detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach to this new position.

With Ms. Stevenson’s transition, Travis Anderson, current principal of Lancaster Middle School, will become the new principal of Belt Line Elementary. Since 2023, Mr. Anderson has strengthened campus culture and communication at Lancaster Middle School and is known for his data-driven leadership, instructional support, and staff development. As a secondary principal, Anderson is experienced with balancing academic progress with social-emotional development, a skill that will translate well to elementary leadership. Mr. Anderson’s experience managing transitional student needs will help ensure young learners feel supported academically and emotionally from the start of their educational journey. His dedication to student achievement and campus success makes him an excellent fit for Belt Line Elementary.Anderson

Taking the lead at Lancaster Middle School will be Dr. Patrice Ruffin-Brown. Dr. Ruffin-Brown brings a wealth of experience in instructional leadership and campus administration. Dr. Ruffin-Brown successfully served as Principal of Kennedy-Curry Middle School, leading a team of 60 staff members and supporting over 800 students. She was later selected to join the administration team at South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas ISD as an assistant principal, where she contributed significantly to raising the campus’s TEA accountability rating from a D to a B. She also served as assistant principal at Skyline High School in Dallas ISD, where she oversaw the ELAR and World Languages departments, led senior and mentor administrator initiatives, managed counselors and master scheduling, and advanced social-emotional learning efforts.

Her career also includes roles as an Instructional Lead Coach across multiple elementary campuses, curriculum designer for middle school RLA, and Campus Instructional Coach at T.A. Edison Learning Center. She holds a Doctorate of Education from National University, a Master of Education from Prairie View A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science from Jarvis Christian University.Brown

Meet-and-greet events will be scheduled soon for Belt Line Elementary and Lancaster Middle School to introduce the new campus principals to students and families. Parents are encouraged to enroll their students now and plan to attend once dates and times are announced.
