May 9, 2025, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX -- Lancaster ISD proudly recognizes the outstanding students selected as 2024–2025 Student Key Communicators, a distinguished group of young leaders who have spent the school year working closely with Superintendent Dr. A. Katrise Perera.
Throughout the year, Dr. Perera met monthly with these student leaders to engage in meaningful conversations about campus culture, personal brand awareness, and opportunities for improvement within the district. These sessions empowered students to develop their leadership, communication, and advocacy skills, giving them a direct platform to influence positive change in their schools.
At the group’s final meeting of the year, Dr. Perera presented graduation cords to the seniors in recognition of their commitment and service. The cords serve as a symbol of excellence, leadership, and dedication to making a difference.
The celebration concluded with a well-deserved dose of fun which included pizza, bowling, and fellowship, marking the end of a successful year of key communication.
Lancaster ISD is proud to invest in its students’ voices and leadership journeys. The impact these students have made this year is a testament to the power of student engagement.
