May 22, 2026, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster--The Lancaster ISD Board of Trustees welcomed a new member and swore in returning trustees during Thursday evening’s board meeting.
Dr. LaShonda Reid officially joined the board as the new District 7 Trustee after running unopposed in the May election. Reid replaces former trustee Kendall Smith, who did not seek reelection. During his final board meeting, Smith welcomed Reid to the board and offered words of encouragement as he concluded his service to the district.
In addition, District 4 Trustee Daryle Clewis and District 5 Trustee Ty G. Jones were both sworn in for another term after also running unopposed.
Each trustee will serve a three-year term on the Lancaster ISD Board of Trustees, continuing the board’s work in support of students, staff, and the Lancaster community.
