May 20, 2026 , Lancaster ISD/ Lancaster, TX--The City of Lancaster and Lancaster Independent School District invite the community to come together for a special hometown celebration honoring the Lancaster High School UIL State Champion Girls Track & Field Team during this year’s Taste of Lancaster event.
The celebration will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Downtown Lancaster Square. Team recognition is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Fresh off their UIL State Championship victory, the Lancaster High School Lady Tigers will be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments, dedication, and hard work throughout the season. The hometown celebration will provide the community an opportunity to congratulate the student-athletes and coaching staff while celebrating the pride and excellence they continue to bring to Lancaster.
In addition to the championship recognition, attendees can enjoy all the excitement of Taste of Lancaster, including local food vendors, community businesses, live entertainment, music, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
“This championship represents the dedication, discipline, and spirit of our student-athletes and coaches,” said Lancaster ISD Superintendent Dr. A. K. Perera. “We are proud to celebrate these young women not only for their athletic accomplishments, but also for the way they represent Lancaster with excellence.”
Community members are encouraged to bring their families, wear orange and black, and join the celebration as Lancaster honors its hometown champions.
