Grandparent's Day

September 5, 2025, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX -- Grandparents hold a special place in the hearts of their grandchildren, serving as storytellers, role models, and endless sources of love. Each year, National Grandparents Day reminds us of just how important those relationships are, and Lancaster ISD embraced the tradition with celebrations across all six elementary campuses.

Though the official holiday falls on Sunday, September 7, 2025, Lancaster ISD marked the occasion on Friday, September 5 with events that brought hundreds of grandparents into the schools. From a cheerful Drive-through Parade and a Grand Picnic to a lively Fun Day and heartfelt Grandparents Lunch, every campus created its own way to say “thank you” to these beloved family members.

The joy was unmistakable. Students proudly welcomed their grandparents, posed for pictures, and wrapped them in big hugs. Laughter filled the hallways and cafeterias as generations came together to celebrate the lasting bond between grandparents and grandchildren.

It was more than just an event, it was a reminder of the love, wisdom, and support that grandparents bring into the lives of Lancaster ISD students every day. Truly, it was a grand day for a grand group of people.
