About Lancaster STEM Early College High School

Lancaster STEM Early College High School is a school of choice where we allow our students to take the lead of their future with them choosing their career paths.  LSECHS is an innovative school that empowers our students to be risk-takers and self-advocates. Students who attend LSECHS have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while earning up to 60 college credit hours.  LSECHS has a staff that is experienced, highly skilled, and committed to delivering high-quality education for our students. At LSECHS teaching and assessments will be standards-based, instruction will be data-driven, and collaboration will be purposeful. At LSECHS we have Higher Standards! Our goal is for every student to achieve their highest potential and become lifelong learners. In order for this to happen, it takes a shared vision from all stakeholders—administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and community members.  We strongly believe in collaborating with all members of the learning community so we welcome your input and questions.

Our vision is to prepare students, through rigorous and relevant content, to be productive and successful citizens by developing a strong work ethic and the higher-level critical thinking skills needed to solve problems in the real world.

Lancaster ISD will partner with Cedar Valley College to offer an Early College High School at Lancaster High School.  Early College High Schools (ECHS) are innovative high schools that provide students with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma while earning up to 60 college credit hours.

Lancaster STEM Early College High School will:

  • Provide More than a Diploma

  • Provide dual credit at no cost to students

  • Increase college attendance and success rates for all students

  • Offer rigorous instruction and accelerated courses

  • Provide academic and social support services to help students succeed

  • Increase college readiness

  • Provide an opportunity to earn an Associate Degree, and

  • Reduce barriers to college access
