Lancaster High School Tardy Plan

Tardy Policy and Consequences

Lancaster High School is committed to maximizing instructional time and reinforcing the importance of punctuality. Beginning this school year, the campus will implement a structured Tardy Sweep Plan to ensure students arrive to class on time and ready to learn.

Tardy Consequences (Per Six Weeks)

  • 3 Tardies – Warning

  • 4 or More Tardies – Assigned After School Detention

  • Failure to Attend Detention – ½ Day ISS for each missed detention session

Parents will be notified of assigned after-school detention at least 24 hours in advance.

Tardy Sweeps

Campus monitors will conduct tardy sweeps during the final 15 minutes of 4th and 8th periods. Students found in the hallways without a pass during these times will be subject to consequences outlined above. Parent conferences or campus walk-through meetings may be scheduled when patterns of tardiness continue.
