Lancaster takes pride in being a district with a very rich STEM history district, and its STEM Expo provides students with an opportunity to showcase the fantastic ways they integrate STEM components in their daily classroom activities. The expo allows all content areas, not just science and math classes, to participate. For instance, in previous years, music classes have created scales, and English classes have collaborated with other classes to identify and solve problems. The expo also provides students with the chance to learn from one another as they work closely and rely on their peers to complete aspects of their projects. Last year’s expo was phenomenal as parents, students, teachers, and district administrators came to see students proudly display their finished projects as they answer questions. We know that this year will be even better as we come together to celebrate the talents of our students.
