Disclaimer: This plan was developed according to the current Texas Education Agency guidelines, and it is subject to change as new information is disseminated from the Texas Education Agency.
If given the option to have a phase-in approach by the Texas Education Agency before the start of school, the district will implement a 3 phase approach to reopening schools.
Our spring semester was filled with challenges; however, with the dedication and cooperation of our staff and parents, we not only remained resilient, but we became stronger than ever. Schools are fundamental to child and adolescent development and well-being and provide our children and adolescents with academic instruction, social and emotional skills, safety, reliable nutrition, physical /speech and mental health therapy, and opportunities for physical activity, among other benefits. Beyond supporting the educational development of children and adolescents, schools play a critical role in addressing racial and social inequality. However, safety is a priority in Lancaster ISD, and we are working to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. This document provides information about our reopening plan for Lancaster ISD. We are eager to begin school in August and see our students for online and face-to-face instruction.
