2019-2020 Safety Protocol

The Lancaster ISD has taken progressive preventative measures to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff during the school day.  We realize that safety of our students is paramount before successful learning can occur.  Therefore, we have committed district personnel to provide evaluation, planning and training to increase safety on our campuses.

Force protection has been increased on each campus by installing vestibules at main access points on each campus to prevent entry into the building.  All campuses have implemented the web based Raptor screening system for increased awareness and protection. Campus office staff have been trained in the use of the Raptor system.

Our LISD police department has provided training to campus administrators in School Response Protocols.  School Response Protocols outline our evacuation, lock down, lock out, tornado and fire response procedures.  Throughout the year, campuses drill in specific emergency procedures and are evaluated in their response to emergencies.  Below are some of the highlights of our school safety plan:

  •       District Training in Safety and School Response Protocols
  •       Raptor Screening System
  •       Locked Exterior Doors on all Campuses
  •       Locked Vestibules at main access points on each campus

If you have any questions, please contact the campus administrators.
