Principal's Message

Greetings LMS Family!
I am humbled and honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Elsie Robertson Lancaster STEM Middle School. This is my 20th year in education and I'm just as passionate as I was my first year. Prior to becoming principal, I had many leadership experiences including academic coordinator, instructional coach, assistant principal, and most recently Associate Principal at Lancaster High School. Even with these amazing experiences, I will always be a teacher a heart. I have 10 years of classroom teaching experience in Dallas ISD. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning. I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Teaching. By pursuing lifelong learning, I hope to be an example to students and teachers that we should never stop learning.
My husband, Thomas, and I are blessed with a beautiful, blended family that consists of my two bonus children, Mia, 14, and TJ, 12. In our spare time, we are watching their athletic journeys in basketball and soccer. They keep us busy during their sports seasons and I understand the importance of extra-curricular activities. Our entire blended family has shown me the meaning of family.
I am privileged to lead Elsie Robertson Lancaster STEM Middle School and the many talented teachers and students here. My goal is to provide a supportive climate and culture that is conducive to teaching and learning. By doing so, each individual student and teacher can experience growth to their highest potential. I truly believe that every child can exceed and that the cooperation between home and school builds trust and self-esteem in students.
I look forward to interacting with all the students, parents, and faculty in our school community this year.
Kind Regards,
Kirsten Jett
Principal
