  • What role do district Police Officers play in school discipline?

    Posted by:

None. Police officers are not disciplinarians and should not be used as such.  Our role is to investigate violations of law and ordinances in accordance with the authority and power specified by Board Policy.  While police actions/classifications may result in the assignment of disciplinary consequence, discipline is the responsibility of the campus administrators.  Our biggest concern is the saftey of all students and staff of the district.

  • Why do Police Officers eat donuts?

    Posted by:

The short answer is that Police Officers have long worked odd hours, but the options for food in the wee hours haven’t always been plentiful. The option to pick up a donut dates to the years after World War II.  Honestly, who doesn’t like donuts?  They are delicious!
