I am beginning my 9th year as principal as well as my 20th year in education. I worked my way from teacher's assistant to middle school science teacher to assistant principal and finally to the principal in a large urban school district in Texas. I received my bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of Houston Downtown and am very excited to be here at HHSTA as principal. My wife of 23 years and family are looking forward to this new journey in our careers and always meet any challenge with fervor and excitement.
As the new proud principal of HHSTA, I intend to create trust, build strong relationships inside and outside of the campus, as well as establish the conditions for every child to learn and work in collaboration with teachers and the community in the best interest of students. The school year 2022-23 will be a year of achievement for everyone in our Tiger family! With your unwavering support, this experience will be a remarkable one for every child on campus. Choosing Houston Health Science and Technology Academy as your elementary school of choice means that you are ensuring that your child gets a head start for the rest of his or her life. A final reminder that every day counts in the educational career of your child, strive to be here every day and more academic concerns tend to go away.
