• Standard Response Protocol (SRP)

“Lancaster Independent School District Police Department operates under a professional, relevant, and comprehensive standard response protocol.

A uniform classroom response is critical to school safety and security. Administrators and staff plan and train for bad weather, fires, accidents, intruders, and other threats to student safety. Historically, schools have taken this scenario-based approach to respond to active shooter events and other threats.

Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is not based on individual scenarios, but on a standardized response to any given situation. SRP consists of four specific actions that active participants, including students, staff, teachers, and first responders, can perform during an incident. SRP is action based.”
