Department Job Duties
The LISD Student/Parent Office works with students and parents as a liaison between student, parent, and school. The Department strives to bring about unity and harmony to foster academic success of all students, so that no child is left behind.
Department Objective
The Department objective is to eliminate truancy, build community support and promote parental involvement. Other services provided are drop out prevention and drop out recovery.
Drop Out Prevention/Recovery
Students who are at risk of dropping out can receive information about Alternative Education Programs. Additionally drop outs are given information about there options in order to graduate. They are encouraged and counseled in completing their education.
