Department Message
Dear Lancaster Tiger Families,

The beginning of the school year is an exciting time for all of us as we plan and prepare for your children and their success. Much has been done over this summer break to ensure a successful school year for students and parents in LISD. Much more is happening “behind the scenes” so that children in LISD will have a great year. We will focus on all children reading on or above grade level and individualizing instruction for every child in 2008-2009. The standard code of dress adopted by the Board of Trustees is entering its third year in LISD. The expectation of all students in the district is to be in dress code. We know your support of this policy will assist us greatly. Finally, 2008-2009 will be the year for parents in LISD. Parent involvement and volunteerism will be essential as we improve student achievement and move this district forward.

As always my door is open to you, please take time to share with your child’s teachers and principals your needs and concerns.

Sincerely,
Dr. Larry D. Lewis
